Raury Delivers Emotional 2D Video For “Fly”
It’s quite possible Raury‘s new video for “Fly” can teach a kid more about black history than your standard history book. The video mixes creativity and poignancy with a 2D, pencil-drawn animated short history of major African-American events: both the tragedies and the triumphs. Perhaps the most hard-hitting moment is when the animated version of police brutality victims — drawn with angel wings — fly across the screen in an elegy of sorts. It’s a scene that lasts too long.
