First Lady Michelle Obama To Appear on Disney's "Doc McStuffins"

Doc McStuffins goes to the White House to meet First Lady Michelle Obama in the October 5 episode of the Disney Junior cartoon, titled “Doc McStuffins Goes to Washington,” the NY Daily News reports.

Doc, along with other children doing important work in their communities, are honored by the First Lady, who names Doc the official toy doctor for the White House in a special ceremony.

According to the News, First Lady Obama also gets the opportunity to push her “Let’s Move” campaign, which focuses on healthy eating and exercise for young people.

Representation matters and this should be a great episode to watch with your children, especially daughters who so rarely get the opportunity to see girls and women who look like them portrayed in a positive and powerful way.
