The hate between New York and Boston sports teams is nothing new, but actual acts of violence are few and far between.
However, with yesterday’s thrilling overtime win by the NY Jets over the New England Patriots, things got out of hand when opposing fans got into a fight in the parking lot outside MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The two can be seen squaring up and trading a few blows when another Jets fan comes from behind and appears to push the Pats fan to the ground. The initial Jets fan then proceeds to stomp and kick the victim’s head.
The rivalry between the two teams always provides a gritty well-fought game, especially with the Jets’ win strengthening their playoff chances and making a rematch with the Pats a possibility.
Hopefully the two teams can leave the hits on the field next time.
