You Can Now Have Shaq Give You Directions On Waze To Avoid Shaq-cidents
The only thing bigger than Shaquille O’Neal is Shaquille O’Neal’s personality.
After retiring from the NBA and joining the NBA on TNT team, Shaq’s now lending his voice to Waze. Waze is Google‘s community-based navigation app. Beginning today, users will be able to hear Shaq’s velvety deep voice guiding them through traffic and suggesting quicker routes to their destination.
“Hazard ahead! Be careful! Don’t cause a … Shaq-cident!,” says one of the commands.
The NBA veteran also seems a bit fussy; one of the other quips featured includes, “I’m tired of talking … turn me off.”
Shaq’s new partnership with Waze is part of TNT’s coverage for the upcoming 2016 NBA Playoffs. The champ isn’t the only celebrity to get the Waze treatment; he follows in the footsteps of Stephen Colbert, Terry Crews, Kevin Hart, and Morgan Freeman (aka God).
How long before DJ Khaled gets in on the Waze craze? He’s already guiding us in life, so turn-by-turn directions could only make things better.
