Prince‘s death came as a shock to many. On the day of his passing, hundreds of celebrities honored the Minneapolis born artist including Alicia Keys, the cast of Hamilton, and more. Tonight, NBC’s Saturday Night Live will be airing a special episode dedicated to his legacy and artistry.
SNL traditionally takes the last weekend of April off, according to Complex. The show had originally scheduled a re-run episode for tonight, featuring Chance The Rapper and Chris Hemsworth. SNL will now be airing SNL: Goodnight Sweet Prince. Prince has appeared on the sketch comedy show 3 times throughout his career.
