Afeni Shakur, Mother Of Tupac, Dead At 69
Afeni Shakur Davis, mother of late rap legend Tupac Shakur, has died.
Marin County Sheriff has confirmed that Shakur died late last night, notes NY Daily News.
Deputies responded to a report of post cardiac arrest at 9:34PM last night at her home in Sausalito, California. She was transported to the hospital where she died 10:28PM.
Shakur was honored by 2Pac in the classic 1995 song “Dear Momma.” The philanthropist and businesswoman had been very involved in the forthcoming All Eyez On Me biopic about her son which is scheduled for release later this year. Danai Gurira, from the Walking Dead was reportedly playing Afeni in the film.
She was 69 years old.
