Since Prince‘s death on April 21, there has been an outpouring of tributes from around the world. And the latest tribute will let you delve deeper into the life of the Purple One—in his hometown.
Waconiaville Tours has added a Prince Tour to its roster that will stop at Paisley Park, Prince’s old school, the first theater where he performed, and the Electric Fetus, which was one of his favorite record stores. The four- to five-hour long tours are set to begin May 28.
“We thought we would let the dust settle a bit, but a lot of people were asking for tours and there’s a story to be told,” Randy Luedtke, the owner of Waconiaville Tours, told the NY Times.
The city’s bike sharing program Nice Ride is also joining in on the Prince-inspired tributes and recently revealed a “Prince-for-a-Day” tour that visits four sites, including the house from the “Purple Rain” movie.
It looks like Minneapolis may become the tourism hotspot for Prince aficionados.
