Racist Michelle Obama Cartoon Sparks Social Media Debate

An offensive cartoon titled #MakeTheFirstLadyGreatAgain exhibits a photo comparison of Michelle Obama and Melania Trump, giving the First Lady an unflattering masculine appearance “while Melania appears feminine and pageant-ready, sporting heavy makeup and white gloves,” according to Mic.
The underlying message is to make America White again, clearly a rejection of Michelle Obama’s beauty, intelligence, and confidence. And we’re not here for it.
Mic reports:
The artist, Ben Garrison, is a political cartoonist who specializes in libertarian illustrations. His website, Grrrgraphics, claims that it was created in order to “express our outrage at the growing tyranny of Big Government.”
This is not the first time conservatives have tried to attack the First lady. In 2011, Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.) was overheard at Reagan National Airport saying, “She lectures us on eating right while she has a rather large posterior herself.” Before that, conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh said, “She doesn’t look like she eats healthy.”
Fortunately, President Barack Obama is pleased with Michelle’s curves and that’s all that matters. Sound off in the comments.
