Chance The Rapper’s ‘Coloring Book’ Is Making History
Congrats are in order!
Chance the Rapper is making history with his new project Coloring Book. The 14-track mixtape is the first exclusive stream-only project to chart on the Billboard 200.
Coloring Book, which streamed exclusively on Apple Music, lands at number eight on the Billboard 200, making it the first album to chart based off streams alone. Coloring Book was streamed a whopping 53 million times on Apple Music, which according to Hits Daily Double, equates to 40K-50K in album sales.
Coloring Book will remain exclusively on Apple Music until this Friday, May 27 before becoming available on other streaming services. Just like his big brother Kanye, Chance doesn’t plan on selling any physical copies of his latest release.
