Kim Kardashian made her social media return on Tuesday night — and for a very good reason.

The recently reclusive reality star posed for a pic with her husband, Kanye West, and Cameron Sterling, the 15-year-old son of the late Alton Sterling, back stage at Yeezy’s Saint Pablo show.

Kim looked as low-key and understated as we’ve ever seen her in a baseball bat, no makeup, and baggy clothes:

Cameron’s father, Alton Sterling, was a 37-year-old black man selling CDs outside of a convenience store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, when he was fatally shot multiple times in the chest and back by police officers. His death sparked nationwide protests and prompted numerous celebrities — including Kim and Kanye — to speak out.

The day after Sterling’s death, Kardashian wrote a blog post about her fears as a mother of a Black son.

“I want my children to grow up knowing that their lives matter,” she wrote. “I do not ever want to have to teach my son to be scared of the police, or tell him that he has to watch his back because the people we are told to trust — the people who ‘protect and serve’ — may not be protecting and serving him because of the color of his skin.”

Looks like while Kim plans to stay out of the spotlight for a while longer, but is showing up for the stuff that counts.
