Is Darrell Revis done with the NFL?

According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, Revis’ days playing football may be numbered. The source told Mehta that it’s due to the 31-year-old’s “questionable drive and lack of commitment and discipline to maintain his body.”

“He’s done,” a Revis confidant told the Daily News. “If he had his way, he’d be done right now. He doesn’t want to play anymore. He’s made a lot of money.”

Revis has been in the league for 10 years and was nicknamed “Revis Island” early in his career for his ability to lockdown receivers and make them appear non-existent. But now in his thirties, Revis has been getting roasted in game after game this season. Revis was a Jet from 2007 to 2012 and would go on to win a Super Bowl under the tutelage of Bill Belichick with the New England Patriots in 2014. The following year he would “return home” to the Jets.

He signed a $70 million contract last year, and is set to make $17 million this season alone.
