Solange is doing her damnedest to not be seen as just Beyoncé’s little sister. I really dug her last album, 2008’s Sol Angel & The Hadley Street Dreams which was about as far from Sasha Fierce as one could get.  She seems to be picking up where she left off with this track that may or not be on her upcoming album.

“Stillness Is The Move” is a cover of indie rock band The Dirty Projectors’ song which is barely five months old.  Solange gives a nod to her hometown of Houston by singing the song over what basically amounts to a screwed version of Erykah Badu’s “Bag Lady” or Dr. Dre’s “Xxplosive” depending on your point of view.
