Lil Wayne Sentencing for Arizona Drug Case Set for June 30th
Lil Wayne appeared in Yuma County Superior Court in Yuma, AZ via video feed from Rikers Island on Friday to enter a plea of guilty on one count of possession of a dangerous drug.
Several other felony charges against Weezy were dismissed, including misconduct involving weapons, possession of a narcotic for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Weezy was arrested near a US Border Patrol checkpoint outside of Yuma, AZ in January 2008. When officials searched his tour bus, a .40 caliber handgun, four ounces of marijuana, over an ounce of cocaine, and 41 grams of ecstasy were found.
Weezy is expected to receive 3 years of probation when he is sentenced on June 30th.
