Jill Scott‘s new album, The Light Of The Sun, features the beautiful singer collaborating with fellow Philadelphia hometown girl Eve on the lead single “Shame.”  Jill also worked with a pair of unlikely collaborators on the album – Doug E. Fresh and Paul Wall.

April 25, 2011 marks the 9th anniversary of the death of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes of the group TLC.  Left Eye died in a car accident while on retreat in the Honduras.

Eminem & Slaughterhouse member Royce Da 5’9 have dusted off their old Bad Meets Evil group project and plan to release an EP of material together in June. The pair of Detroit emcees conceived the project after recording the song “Bad Meets Evil” together for Eminem’s 1999 album The Slim Shady LP.

Game was thought to still be in the custody of customs officials at the Canadian border when he turned up on stage with Lil’ Wayne back in Los Angeles on Friday night, April 22nd. Game and Weezy performed their 2008 collab “MyLife.”

Nicki Minaj plans to announce information about her forthcoming second album in September. Nicki says that the album will be released within the next 12 months, but has not specified when.
