Yesterday R&B Icon Whitney Houston was found dead in her hotel room at The Beverly Hilton, just hours before a pre-Grammy celebration being hosted by her mentor Clive Davis.
Celebrities React To The Death Of Whitney Houston
The festivities were understandably somber as guests walked down the red carpet offering condolences. Houston’s body was still on the fourth floor of the hotel awaiting paramedics.
According to TMZ, Whitney’s daughter Bobby Kristina was denied access to the hotel room to see her mother.
According to law enforcement sources … Bobbi Kristina showed up on the 4th floor of the Beverly Hilton several hours after Whitney’s death. We’re told when officers informed her no one was allowed to see the body — BK screamed, cursed and demanded to see her mother.
Ultimately, she was not allowed into the room and left. We’re told Whitney’s cousin Dionne Warwick also showed up later. She too was turned away by officers.
No illegal drugs were found in Houston’s room, but several prescription pill bottles were found and there is speculation that the star may have drowned in the bath tub. Whitney Houston’s remains were finally removed from the room and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
