What: Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds was born in Indianapolis and his career got a jumpstart when he joined the Deele in 1983. After becoming fast friends with bandmate LA Reid, the hitmaking duo would go on to create LaFace Records and lengthy careers as music executives. Babyface would also pursue a successful solo career.
