Straight out of Liverpool, England (home of the Beatles) Gia, aka Nikki Blaze, along with long time Dj, Olabean, have both been added to Caktuz’s 2011 Today The World Tour, as part of Cak..?13’s electrifying stage show.
Gia 1st appeared on the US scene in 2008 on Caktuz’s mixtape sizzler “Slow Burn” ft. Sa-Ra & Georgia Anne-Muldrow.
Fomer DMC Chmapion Dj Olabean was one of the 1st UK DJ’s to begin spinning the soul banger into rotation on Juice fm Radio. Before long, Dj’s throughout the UK were playing Gia & Caktuz’s tunes.
Country cousin, Caktuz, appears on Gia’s latest underground smash “Dose It” (watch video below), which was recently “treemixed” to add Odd Future’s (OFWGKTA) most notorious member Earl Sweatshirt. Both versions can be download for free from Caktuz’s website
No stranger to the spotlight, Gia has shared the stage with Caktuz on many prior shows and appearances, as well as their 2009 tour A Summer In Paris. This year the ‘hip hop Mickey & Mallory’ set their eyes on not just the UK, but the world spanning the globe by way of Africa & France as well.
Extended Caktuz family and Brooklyn bred MC, Cavalier, was also added to select dates on the European leg of the tour a week ago and is set to headline beside Caktuz & MOBO Award winner, Akala, for Liverpool Sound City’s urban stage Strictly Hip Hop on May 19th. Check www.cavwins.com for more info.
