The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that Chris Brown has hired a fleet of security to protect him after receiving what’s considered legitimate death threats following his alleged assault on Rihanna.

A source says the threats have made Brown “totally paranoid,” especially considering there have been “indications the potential assassin could be disguised as a paparazzi,” the Sun-Times writes.

A Los Angeles Police Department source says the threats hail from a group called the “Women’s Protection Action League,” although it could be just one person making the threats.

While the Internet is rampant with promises of violence against Brown since he allegedly left Rihanna with “horrific injuries” following a Feb. 8 pre-Grammy party, Brown has been traveling around with at least three large bodyguards whenever he goes out into public, with another few “incognito” security members protecting him as well.

Meanwhile, Rihanna seems to be enjoying the single life and hit yet another club this week at the same time as rumored new fling Drake.

Both Riri and the Canadian rapper have denied a romance, but they showed up at a party Wednesday night for the Target release of the Black Eyed Peas’ album, “The E.N.D.,” at NYC hotspot The Griffin.

According to People.com, Rihanna arrived shortly after 11:30 p.m. and stayed nearly two hours. Drake left a bit earlier – only to wait outside the club’s front doors. Both he and Rihanna drove off at the same time, in separate vehicles.
