Suge Knight Pleads Guilty In Assault Case
Suge Knight remained in the news this week after being rushed to the hospital over the weekend. This time, the former record executive pleaded guilty on Tuesday (Feb. 17) in Las Vegas Justice Court to a misdemeanor battery charge for beating his girlfriend last year.
According to the Associated Press, Knight’s guilty plea resulted in two felony drug charges and one felony coercion charge being tossed out.
Reports surfaced last year that Knight hit his girlfriend, Melissa Issac, last August. Authorities claimed they witnessed Knight beating her while holding a knife. A police search of Knight yielded Ecstasy and hydrocodone.
Suge was fined $340, and was ordered to receive counseling. He will be back in court in August.
