VIDEO: Kanye West Doing Free Concert In June For Chicago Students
This June Kanye West will be following up his 2009 concert to combat dropout rates in city schools. The show is coordinated by the Kanye West Foundation founded by his mother, the late Dr. Donda West, in 2005.
Last year Yeezy performed for students from six Chicago public schools who improved their grades. Even though West is vocal about being a college dropout, he wants kids to stay in school.
“I feel like high school is a necessity,” he told the Chicago Tribune. “Anything that you have to pay for is your choice.”
