It seems that a magic wand trumps a four-leaf clover on the basketball court. The Orlando Magic defeated the defending champion Boston Celtics 101-82 advancing to the Eastern Conference finals. With a decisive  victory Dwight Howard and his crew in blue will go on to face Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. This is the first time the Magic have made it to the Conference Finals since 1996. The Cavaliers are undefeated in the post-season thus far.

This is also the first time that Patrick Ewing has made a guarantee and had his team back it up. Before the game the former Knick and assistant coach of the Magic guaranteed a win tonight for his team. However, the last three times Ewing made such claims his team lost.

Earlier in the day Kobe Bryant and the Lakers sent the Houston Rockets packing in their game seven at The Staples Center winning 89 to 70. The Lakers will now face Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals.

Who do you predict will make it to the finals and win the NBA championship this year? Let us know in the comments!
