We’re not rappers, but we have an idea how some of them think. R&B singer Ray J has taken an inexplicable shot at his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian with the song “I Hit It First.” In a whispered tone Brandy’s brother laments that he “had her head going north and her ass going south /But now baby chose to go West” in reference to her baby daddy Kanye West. The lyrics  allude to the infamous sex tape the couple released in 2007 launching the Kardashian brand name.

Since its release, “I Hit It First” has been celebrated as “catchy” by some, but called the worst song since Brian McKnight’s “P*ssy Works” by others. Now fans are wondering if Kanye West will bother to respond.

Some music fans argue that since Kanye has celebrated the sex tape on songs of his own (on “Clique” he rhymed “my girl a star from a home movie“) so he shouldn’t be offended. But man law requires that he come to his baby mama’s defense. This man produced Jay-Z’s  “The Takeover” for crying out loud. If Kim’s estranged husband Kris Humphries can catch it unprovoked on “Cold,” why wouldn’t Mr. Norwood?

So here are five things we’re guessing Kanye will say to Ray J in response to “I Hit It First.”

5) “He just mad cuz I had Mayweather drop him from the teeeaaam”

Ray J was a card carrying member of boxer Floyd Mayweather’s money team, escorting him to the ring and holding his belts until pop star Justin Bieber replaced him at the Miguel Cotto fight on May 5th.  Kanye famously threatened on “Cold” to have Kim’s husband, Brooklyn Net Kris Humpries, “dropped from the team”  by part owner and good friend Jay-Z.   The diss lyric practically writes itself.
