We couldn’t very well expect the disciples of Autotune to remain silent in the face of a direct challenge. Even though Jay-Z granted a presidential pardon to T-Pain, Kanye West and Lil Wayne on the usage of Autotune, that left quite a few artists feeling like they’d been thrown under the bus.

The first artist to say anything in public is DJ Webstar of “Chicken Noodle Soup” and “Dancing On Me” fame (which is heavy on the Autotune usage). Here is a selection of things he’s posted on Twitter about the alleged “Death Of Autotune.

Meanwhile, Radio Host Missinfo caught up with Ron Browz backstage at Summer Jam and asked him how he felt about the song:

“If the streets love these autotune records you can’t stop that…” -Ron Browz

In other related “D.O.A” news blog Hip-Hop Is Read dug up the sample used in the song. Click the link for artist details and take a listen to it here.
