Amidst all the bright lights, cameras and action, stars and fans were on hand to put their best foot forward for the 51st Annual Grammys! With all the performances galore, The Urban Daily had to narrow it down to the Top 5 for your enjoyment.

5. Coldplay featuring Jay-Z, “Lost”:
Even though Coldplay doesn’t necessarily categorize itself as “hip-hop,” Chris Martin manages to bring his BFF, Jay-Z, to perform a half-hearted performance that doesn’t reach its fullest potential until the band kicks off into “Viva la Vida.”
4. Lil Wayne featuring Robin Thicke, “Tie My Hands”:
Weezy F.’s four Grammy wins did nothing to make this a more celebrated performance. Although the Hurricane Katrina inspired track was given its kudos when Tha Carter III won “Best Rap Album,” Lil Wayne still is lacking the stage presence of Kanye West or Busta Rhymes.
3. T.I. featuring Justin Timberlake, “Dead And Gone”:
T.I. has overcame his adversity in a very open and humane way. With “Dead And Gone,” the newest MTV reality star presents a grandiose set equipped with live band and all the strings one could muster. But it’s Justin Timberlake who mires Clifford’s performance with a lackluster featured appearance.
2. T.I. featuring Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne & M.I.A., “Swagger Like Us”:
The song that blew up the Internets was billed as one full of surprises by T.I., but we’re still waiting on what that was. The performance would’ve been #3 on our list if it wasn’t for the beautiful M.I.A. showing everyone that pregnant girls can rock with the big boys on any stage. All in all, “Swagger Like Us,” did well to cement itself as one of the best collabos of the 21st Century.
1. Jennifer Hudson, “You Pulled Me Through”:
After everything that J-Hud went through, even all the way up to her Super Bowl performance “lip sync” debacle, Ms. Hudson has managed to handle her tragedy with the strength of a champion and her Grammy performance is a testimony to what happens when adversity is met head-on with perseverance. This soul-stirring showing is our #1 for Top Grammy honors!
