Fight! Rapper Lil Mama is no stranger to the bob and weave (just check out her hairstyles over the years)  but The Breakfast Club  pulled no punches interviewing the “America’s Best Dance Crew” judge. Charlemagne the God asked her about Nicki Minaj “taking her style”, her looks, her actual age and the Jay-Z incident at the VMAs.

Lil Mama stood up to the teasing and even sent some shots back at Charlemagne in the process. But it wasn’t the questions about Jay-Z and Alicia Keys that brought her to tears. When pressed about why she hadn’t put out new music in a while Lil Mama was deflective at first. However, towards the end of the interview she finally broke down and explained.

“When I was seventeen years old I put out an album when my mother was dying of Cancer,” she said. “That right there alone is a struggle. That’s tough for anybody. But my music will speak for itself. My actions will speak for itself. My mother will be proud.”
