Just days before its official unveiling at Comic-Con 2011, the trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man has been leaked (wink, wink) online. Directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer), this new take on the Spider-Man mythos seems to have taken a decidedly darker tone. This time around, the audience will get more back story on Peter Parker’s parents, and a hip, but brooding Emo type hero in actor Andrew Garfield. Our friendly neighborhood web slinger also gets a new love interest, Gwen Stacy, played by Hollywood’s current “It” girl Emma Stone. The cast includes Sally Field (Aunt May), Martin Sheen (Uncle Ben), Rhys Iban (Dr. Connors/The Lizard) and Dennis Leary (George Stacy).
