Knicks Amare Stoudemire Injures Hand After Loss To Heat
Knicks Amar’e Stoudemire Injures Hand After Loss To Heat
As one clever fan summed it up, Amare Stoudemire finally attacked the glass. Following a 104 to 94 loss to the Miami Heat in game two of their NBA playoff tilt, the Knicks star forward took out his frustrations on a glass case for a fire extinguisher. His hand was lacerated in the process requiring stitches.
The ill-advised move will likely cost Stoudemire at least one game and possibly more at a time when the struggling Knicks need him the most.
“I am so mad at myself right now,” Stoudemire wrote on his Twitter account. “I want to apologize to the fans and my team, not proud of my actions. Headed home for a new start.”
The Knicks return to New York to play game three of the series on Thursday.
