Do Sherri Shepherd and Star Jones have beef? The National Enquirer would like for us to think so – all over Star’s ex-husband and apparent friend to the stars, Al Reynolds.
A few weeks ago, the New York Post reported that Shepherd had rented a room to Al, and now the tabloid says she’s pissed off Star in the process:
Reynolds, 42, quietly moved into an apartment in Sherri’s four-story Manhattan townhouse months ago, sources say, and when Star found out, she hit the roof!
“Real estate brokers who were working with Al found the apartment for him,” said a pal. “Sherri was surprised to learn her new tenant was Star’s ex-husband, but she didn’t see any reason not to rent to him. But Star thinks it’s a ploy by Al to get her attention. She’s fuming mad that Sherri is helping him ‘play games’ in her own backyard.”
STAR, 50, co-hosted “The View” from 1997 to 2006. Her on-air announcement that she was quitting sparked a feud with Barbara Walters, and she didn’t appear on the show again until this past February.
She and Reynolds ended their four-year marriage in 2008, and he later moved to Florida where he taught finance at a university.
About six months ago, Reynolds moved into the townhouse Sherri owns with her husband on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. They live with Sherri’s 7-year-old son in the building’s two lower floors, while the boy’s nanny lives in the third-floor apartment.
“Star says she liked Sherri and thought they were becoming friends, but that’s all over now!” said the source.“Star says she’d never want to be friends with someone who’s helping her ex diss her. In Star’s mind, this is ALL about her.”
I’d sooner believe Star Jones would send Sherri a bouquet of chicken tenders before throwing shade at her over Al.
