Actor Orlando Jones will portray Bobby Seale, co-founder of the Black Panther Party, in a new film entitled The Chicago 8. According to Blackthespin.com, The Chicago 8 chronicles the true story of “the notorious 1968 trial that resulted when seven leaders of a Vietnam anti-war movement, and a member of the Black Panthers, were charged with conspiracy to incite devastating riots in Chicago.”
Directed by Pinchas Perry, the film is based on actual court transcripts involving the anti-war protestors and the trial they faced for planning to star riots at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
