A male passenger aboard a Delta flight last Friday to Atlanta allegedly slapped a toddler across his face for crying too much, according to The Smoking Gun.

Apparently Rickey Hundley told the mother to “shut that n-gger baby up.” Hundley denies the accusation completely, and says that he politely “asked the mother to quiet the child.” He said that he was “distraught” on the flight because the point of his trip was to visit a relative who was in the hospital. He had one alcoholic beverage.
An FBI agent, happened to be on the flight and he reported that the toddler started to cry when the plane was landing. The child’s mother, Jessica Bennett, tried to stop the crying, but he continued. The agent stated by this time Hundley had already used the racial slur and then slapped the baby in the face with his open hand, which resulted in a cut below his eye.

Bennett also said that Hundley “reeked of alcohol” when he got on the plane” and was “stumbling around wasted.”
Hundley was charged with simple assault and if convicted, could face up to a year in prison.
