Man this is confusing. so back in July, Timbaland commented on a song featuring Keri Hilson called “Sorry.” He told the world that the song was actually for Jay Z, whom he had fallen out with several years ago.
Said Timbaland of the song,
“I’ll tell you the story man. Me and Jay, let me tell you something about real friends. You fall out and then you make back up. Me and Jay fell out, I missed his 40th. He didn’t miss mine, he did sent me a gift. But, I missed his and it was over petty stuff, it was more personal stuff and disagreements. It was not no industry related, it was more personal, and I was wrong.” I got this one song that I did with Keri on my album called “Sorry,” and Keri actually tells the story about the whole Beyoncé thing and how she was sorry about it because she wasn’t really talking about Beyoncé, but other people. It says it in the song.”
Check out everything he had to say in the video below.
Welp now according to Madam Noire, Keri Hilson is speaking on the song a whopping two months later and is sort of shading the song and Timbaland’s description of it.
Said Hilson when asked about the song and Beyonce,
“There’s really nothing more to tell about that song. There’s really nothing to be said about it. What I will say, is the way Tim represented my verse is a little off. It’s not something I want to talk about right now. It’s not important to me. I’m not even sure if that song will be on the album. It’s not what he made it seem, I will say that.”
Wait huh? Why is she just now saying all of this? If she felt she was misrepresented then WHY didn’t she say this at the time? Interesting…we get the feeling this one will not be over soon. Stay tuned.
