Footlocker Releasing Nike Air Yeezy 2 Without Kanye
After a very public separation from Nike and establishing a relationship with Adidas, sneaker fiends figured Kanye’s popular Air Yeezy 2 Red October shoe would become available to the (somewhat) general public. However, Footlocker has announced that the “Air Yeezy 2 Red October” would be available exclusively online on December 27th.
There is no word on how much the shoes will cost, but the original Air Yeezy retailed for $275 when it was launched in April of 2009. Given a limited release of 3000 pairs the price ballooned to as high as $2750 due to limited quantities.
Kanye West ended his relationship with Nike earlier this year when he insisted they pay him royalties like an athlete that endorsed their shoes. When Nike refused Kanye made a deal with Adidas for a new shoe and other fashion related businesses.
