Actress/singer Zoe Kravitz is out to prove she can navigate the choppy waters of the entertainment business without leaning on the names of her famous parents. In case you didn’t know, Zoe is the product of the union between Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet.


Despite landing roles in “X-Men: First Class” and “Yelling to the Sky,” The youngest Kravitz was shocked when she received a role in the hotly anticipated film “Divergent.” According to Zoe, when she first got into acting, she thought she would be doing a lot of theater and independent films. However, she isn’t complaining about being cast in big budget blockbusters.


But acting isn’t Kravitz’ only passion. She takes after her father and has a a ton of talent in the musical arena as well. She started a band named Lolawolf and they released their self-titled debut EP  last month. The burgeoning superstar says the sound of the music is reminiscent of 90s R&B like TLC and Ginuwine.
