If the movie “Groundhog Day” and the video game “Halo” had a baby it’d probably be this next sci-fi flick starring Tom Cruise called “Edge Of Tomorrow.” Cruise plays Lt. Col. Bill Cage, an officer who has never seen a day of combat but finds himself dropped in a futuristic version of Normandy where he dies faster than Kenny on “South Park.”

The catch is that Cage is thrown into a time loop where he is forced to die repeatedly–kind of like binge watching “Homeboys In Outer Space” on Netflix–but with each battle he learns something new about the enemy that could potentially win the war. Watch the trailer below.
