Twitter Reacts to Lil Mama's 'Sausage'

Hear us out. This Lil Mama video for her new song “Sausage” isn’t that bad, and you have to admit the Harlem chick is having fun. She’s gotten a bad rep ever since she hopped on stage with Jay Z and Alicia Keys at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, and the public hasn’t been forgiving.

We thought times had changed when she portrayed Left Eye in the VH1 TLC biopic, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. Lil Mama showed her range and embodied everything that was Lisa Lopes. So why are we still hating on her?

Enter “Sausage.” We’ll be honest – the song is all over the place, but what song really makes total sense these days? And her voice sounds a bit Scruff McGruff, but there’s no denying that Lil Mama is having fun. Her dancing is on point and her effort at an impression of Mary J. Blige is pretty good, too. We’ll say she can try and battle with Jamie Foxx.
