On the eve of Christmas eve, Meek Mill put the negativity aside to spread some holiday cheer in his hometown.

The “Lord Knows” rapper attended a charity event in Philadelphia along with comedian Michael Blackson, as well as Bryshere “Yazz” Gray from the hit show, Empire. The three appear to have lent their time to the elderly, as well as a group of children at the event.

Meek’s probation was recently revoked and his sentencing is scheduled for early February. Still, it’s good to see that he hasn’t lost sight on what truly matters during this time of the year.

Plus, we can only imagine the excitement it brings to those less fortunate when celebrities stop by, so kudos to these three for giving back.

Although it was a beautiful day for residents, things didn’t stay drama-free for too long. It all started when Blackson referred to Meek as “Twitter fingers” in an Instagram post, which refers to a line from Drake‘s “Back To Back” diss track to him.

Meek must not have found this to be too funny, even though Blackson roasts people often in this same fashion, as he fired back with the following insult aimed at Blackson’s sneakers.

But all is well that ends well, as Blackson confirmed that his Gucci is, in fact, real.

Hopefully these two can keep their jokes all in good fun, as the real focus was the success of the charity event.
