The CIA, always a bad combination when in league with a black man, recruit Chris Rock after his twin brother was killed in the line of duty. Together with Anthony Hopkins, they must thwart a terrorist plot that threatens the safety of America.
National Treasure, USA, 7:30pm –
Nicholas Cage plays a modern day treasure hunter who’s search for a historic fortune left behind by the nation’s founding fathers incites a race against time and pits Cage’s character against a noted enemy. A really good movie and pulls, literally, from the pages of America’s silent history.
Vampire in Brooklyn, BET, 9:00pm –
Eddie Murphy may have scored another dud with Meet Dave, but his comedic genius was put to the test in the genre-bending flick, Vampire in Brooklyn. With Dwayne Wayne, Angela Bassett and House of Payne star, Allen Payne all providing laughs and pseudo-scares, this is one to sit and watch, because… “evil is good!”
Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, Bravo!, 10:00pm –
Ever heard of Steve Wozniak? If not, don’t be mad, he’s never really heard of Kathy Griffin, probably. But the computer genius and comedianne work together on tonight’s episode of My Life on the D-List at a charity event in Silicon Vallen. But, unforeseen circumstances eventually test their friendship.
The Works, History Channel, 10:00pm –
MUST WATCH! Our illustrious editor-in-chief’s favorite national pasttime hobby is the subject of the History Channel’s special called, The Works. The billion dollar industry of the sneakers business is examine, including its pace in popular (i.e. hip-hop) culture.
I need another tattoo and if The Urban Daily ever hooks me up with a gig that needs me to be in Miami, I’d get one from these guys (in hopes to plug shamelessly). Tonight’s episode of Miami Ink finds the team doing a guest spot at a friend’s New Orleans tattoo parlor.
