Somebody help Kanye West. I don’t know if it was that Hennessey he was carrying on the red carpet or a chemical imbalance in his ego that did it but Taylor Swift got robbed of her first VMA moment after beating out Beyonce, Pink, Lady Gaga, Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry.
While accepting her award for Best Female Video at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards Swift was shocked after the microphone abruptly snatched away from her by West, a perpetual stage stormer.
All Swift could do is stand silently with her trophy while Kanye goes on a tirade supporting Beyonce’s video for “Single Ladies”.
“Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!”
Beyonce couldn’t believe it either.
Don’t worry though. Taylor got her moment after all. In a classy moment, Beyonce surrenders her mic time after winning her own Moon Man for Video of the Year and gave it to the young country starlet so she could properly give her much deserved speech.
