Tiny Speaks on the Death of Kandi’s Ex-Fiance

Before they were reality stars of their own shows Tomika “Tiny” Cottle and Kandi Burress were both members of the 90s hit group Xscape, and they are still very close.  Tiny released a statement following the devastating news of the murder of Real Housewives of Atlanta star A.J. Jewell, Kandi’s ex-fiance  who was killed in front of a Atlanta strip club today.

“I would like to send my deepest condolesences to the family of Ashley AJ Jewell and my dear friend and former bandmate Kandi,” Tiny shared in her statement. “AJ was a very sweet person who has been a friend for quite some time and had a lot of positive things taking place in his life for it all to be taken away from him so quickly.He will be missed,my family and I will continue to keep his family and most of all his children in our
prayers. I am praying for my friend Kandi that God gives her the strength to endure. She is a very strong person and I know god will see her through.”

    It is sad when we can’t have success or be on TV and someone hating had to say something smart to him to provoke a fight. It was the way he died that could have been prevented. Instead of feeding into someone talking s**t. Say your peace and walk away no matter how much that person wants to take you there. It is not worth your life as you can see.

    The story brought tears to my eyes. My heart definitely goes out to the families. Sudden death is always so hard to deal with. My deepest condolences goes out.

    Well the crazy things is people always say why and how all the young are dieing from gun volience and people need to go back to the old days when people fought with their hands but it seems it doesn’t matter about how you fight just stop the volience.

    My prayers go out to you all who shared a part of A.Js life. i watched the Real house wives and i saw A.J a couple of times. I also worked on a video shoot of Kandis. I just feel for the family and Kandi hope and pray you all will be strong to get though this tragic loss. Remember no weapon formed against you sall prosper….Its time to change something in our lives for the better not the worse put God first!!!1
