We all know Jay-Z wasn’t happy about Lil Bow Wow Lil Mama muscling in on his VMA performance with Alicia Keys but what actually happened? A backstage source speaking with The NY Daily News says that the Blueprint rapper went “ballistic” over MTV’s inability to fence off stage crashers.
“Though [Jay-Z] tried to stay cool onstage, a backstage source tells us, “He went ballistic. He was screaming at the MTV producers about the lack of security. He apparently thought at first she was just a fan. Beyoncé finally calmed him down.”

Jay-Z didn’t have a problem when his girl Kanye crashed the stage, but the Almighy Hov goes into bytch-mode when someone crashes his moment? The ego on this guy is incredible. He’s getting increasingly cranky and irrational in his old age. Maybe it’s time to retire for real now. Besides, since this was a rap performance, why wasn’t there like 26 people on the stage in the first place? The way I see it, she was just helping the quota. He should have been thanking that lip-gloss fanatic and got her a microphone so she could go “uuh…unh…yeeah” (like he did at Paul McCartney’s performance at the Grammys(?) a couple of years ago.) Throw a “c” in front of “rap” and that’s all it is to me anyway. Maybe security will be tighter by the time he performs Blueprint 37, but I was more entertained watching him shoo away that little runt than I was listening to his music…
