The New York Knicks are off to a great start to the 2012-2013 NBA season.  There were many questions coming into the season considering all of the moves that were made and pieces acquired. Jeremy Lin left for the Houston Rockets and Raymond Felton was brought in to replace him at the point.  Thanks to stellar play from Carmelo Anthony the Knicks are now 8 and 2.

When TheUrbanDaily.com spoke with Spike Lee this summer we asked him how his Knicks would do this season and he felt confident that his squad would be fine post “Linsanity.”

“I think Raymond Felton is gonna be ballin like he was before he got traded in that Melo deal,” he said in our interview (watch below). Felton was traded, along with several other Knicks, to the Denver Nuggets in order to acquire Carmelo Anthony. He was reacquired from the Portland Trailblazers in the off season.

When Felton was playing for New York in 2010 he was scoring 17 points per game and averaging 9 assists. So far this season Felton is averaging 15.7 points per game shooting 44 percent from the field and dishing almost 7 assists per game.  However, no Knick fan is going to complain about production given their hot start.

Tonight the Knicks face Jeremy Lin and The Rockets for the first time since he left town.  Best believe Spike will be glued to the TV. Will you?
