According to aspendailynews.com and an Aspen judge, if The Beatnuts rapper Psycho Les doesn’t appear as ordered in court on Monday, then yes an arrest warrant will be issued for him.

Says Judge Daniel Petre of the 9th Judicial District,

“Psycho Les, will be held in contempt of court and an arrest warrant will be issued if he doesn’t appear.”

This is stemming from an incident from 2009 in which Les allegedly, forced a woman at one of his concerts to come on stage. In his attempt to pull the woman on to the stage, he sliced open her leg. The incident resulted in a lawsuit filed by Kristin Scharrer in which she sued for; battery, outrageous conduct and false imprisonment. A judgement of nearly $25,000 was awarded to Scharrer.

Scharrer’s attorney, Jeff Wertz of Aspen wrote;

 “During the show Fernandez and his band The Beatnuts were playing at the Belly Up, the lawsuit said he made repeated overtures to get her on stage, which she declined. He then forcibly pulled her up, slicing her leg on a sharp edge of the stage in the process. If Fernandez is arrested, I will request a cash-only bond of no less than the current running balance of the judgment, which was $24,769 as of Feb. 15.”

According to court documents, a demand that Fernandez provide post-judgment information, including his address, employer, the name of his bank and whether he owns any automobiles, RVs, ATVs, jet skis and the like, was legally served on him during a New York City concert.

We hope this gets resolved without incident. Psycho Les is a legend, it would be disheartening to hear that this has gotten any nastier than it already has.
